In Person Music Camps
Designed for students of all levels, from beginners to seasoned artists, this program is taught by real musicians using the unique B2R method, which will have students playing full songs in no time! Students are placed in a band according to their age and skill level and the requirements of ensemble playing, teamwork and achievement of musical objectives are stressed. Depending on ability level, development of original material is strongly encouraged. Each weekly session culminates in a public performance and the recording of a CD. This camp is split into two age categories: for kids 7 - 9 and 9+.
Bach to Rock is proud to announce the B2R Glee Club! Inspired by the television sensation, this premier choral ensemble offers a dynamic atmosphere for male and female students to unlock their inner star! Each student will explore fun vocal exercises, singing in harmony, and cool choreography while performing arrangements of popular songs. The B2R Glee Club provides a group learning experience that emphasizes reading music, intonation, listening skills, rhythm, and healthy vocal technique. Each weekly session culminates in a public performance and the recording of a CD.
Do you have an awesome band that's rocking covers and writing songs, but not sure of what to do next? Come learn how to promote your music and get gigs! Find out how to create a press kit, including one sheets, photos and even a professional demo. Work in a state of the art studio with professional engineers to create your own signature sound.
Ever wonder how the most popular music gets created? Are you looking to add original music to your TikTok/YouTube videos? It starts with a beat! Unlock the creativity of making music without knowing how to play an instrument. Students learn the basics of creating Hip-Hop, EDM, and Trap music using instrument loops, sampling, and sequencing to create their own beat from scratch. No musical experience is required! To participate in this camp, students need a computer (Mac or PC) with Google Chrome installed to utilize BandLab for Education, a free online music production platform. At the end of this camp, students will present their beat to the class and be prepared to enroll in either Songwriting or Music Production Camps to learn more about creating their own songs.
From day one, students gain hands on experience with industry standard recording equipment. Using Pro Tools recording software, they learn about music production from both behind the mixing board and in the live room. Students work side by side with a B2R Audio Engineer. They record live B2R bands, learn about microphones and how to place them, explore different audio effects and experiment with recording techniques to create professional recordings.
B2R Camps on VOA
"We really enjoyed camp. It offered much more than simply singing. There were 'getting to know you' games, daily lunches 'out,' walks around the pond, t-shirt making, CD recording, poster-making, and even auditions. It was a really good camp and great opportunity for my daughter to be exposed to singing in a group. And the public concert at the end of the week was also a nice performance opportunity. Overall a definite positive experience, and I have already recommended the camp to another mom. :)"

"Everything is pretty good: instructors, front desk, very friendly and patient. My son likes the camp so much that he will definitely come back next summer."
- C.S. from Rockville
"Although I believe all the music programs and lessons are very good, I especially appreciate the summer camp program, since that is what got my daughter interested in performing in a band and playing guitar."
- J.L. from Germantown
"We were very happy with the Glee Club camp our daughter just completed, and especially felt that the instructor, Alex, did a terrific job. The arrangements and his accompaniment for the two songs were wonderful, and he clearly understood how to make the most of each child's abilities. We also thought that the activities of auditioning for the solos, recording a CD of the two songs, designing a CD cover, making show posters and decorating t-shirts to wear on show day were fun activities and great experience for our daughter, who loved the camp!"
